Lori Gilmore is an artist who paints in oil. She lives in The Ozarks with her husband Allen Gilmore, and their menagerie of animals. Lori has been painting in oil since the mid 1980s and is self taught as much as anyone can be self taught these days. She paints Seascapes, Landscapes, still life and nostalgic scenes. 

Lori is so grateful for the many generous artists who have poured into her work over the years. Some of her heroes are Chuck Black, Allen Kingwell, Andrew Tischler, Terry Redlin and Michael James Smith.

Lori strives to be constantly learning and growing, and her work is characterized by realism with a touch of whimsy. She likes to call her style Idealism. 

She has some completed work for sale, and will do commission work as well, as long as a meeting of the creative minds can be reached with her prospective client
